The Broadway Cinema also has a fantastic Kids Club programme. I will just have to convince my five year old that minions really aren't scary. There is a listing here.
But what am I doing promoting them when we are bursting at the seams with activities of our own?! Take your pick! There is definitely something for everyone.
Saturday 15th February - Rainbow Day with Jane Glynn. You will spot us by the rainbow trees, and the rainbow collaged table, and the rainbow painting and colour mixing and street chalking and generally loads of fun. This will have something for all ages - so older children, grandparents, young adults, people without children - anyone!! - can come and join in. We are running this from 11-4pm and Jane Glynn, our resident artist will be there with her magical colour palette. We ask for donations at events like these but just come - the more the merrier.
Thursday 20th February - Cloud Workshops with Jane Glynn. Two sessions, £5 and open to children of all ages. Booking is recommended.
Thursday 20th February - Smartie Arties 1-3pm will have activities aimed at all ages (normally it is for preschoolers) and it is Knits and Knots so bring your knitting needles and get stuck in. Adults very welcome too.
[Thursday 20th February - parent respite session in the evening in the form of Recorder Club. More info here.]
Friday 21st February - 1. Note to Note at 10.30 - our regular session of singing, musical instruments and stories. Extremely relaxed and lots of fun. 2. Dot to Dot does storytelling. We have the captivating Alex Jones in the house at 3pm, 4pm and more pm (depending on bookings). Sessions last 40 minutes, cost £5 or 3 for two and audience members should bring a cushion. Booking essential. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a spot on the carpet. Recommended for ages 3-8.
Saturday 22nd February - Bottle It! A day of 2 litre bottle inspired activities, in and around Dot to Dot. The gallery will be completely open as normal and activities will be up and running from 10.30-3.30pm. Rain catchers, flower bottle-print friezes and more. Bring a bottle or use one of ours.
Sunday 23rd February - Battenburg Tea Party and book signing with Jane Glynn. To find out why it is a battenburg tea party you'll just have to come along and buy the book. There'll also be our usual, homemade fare of chocolate brownies and syrupy flapjacks so don't let a bit of marzipan put you off if that isn't your thing.
Is that enough? We would really appreciate it if you could like and share this post as it will help spread the word. See those little buttons there - click click.... Many thanks and see you there.
